The city and county of Kilkenny are located in the Southeast and in the heart of Ireland. It is undoubtedly Ireland's nicest inland city.

Kilkenny is an ideal location for students to come and learn English and to experience, first hand, the entire beauty of Ireland. Hence, for those wishing to uncover the true character of Ireland, Kilkenny is the perfect destination.

Kilkenny has a population of approximately 25.000 inhabitants and it is rich in history. In the 13th century, it became Ireland's medieval capital. Kilkenny is dominated by impressive ancient buildings, the most famous being Kilkenny Castle.

Kilkenny is sometimes called the 'marble city', because of the local black limestone that can be found all over the county. The limestone is particularly evident in the Dunmore Caves. Our tour through the Caves will lead us to one of the darkest places in Ireland.
