English Lessons

All lessons are taught by qualified English teachers who all hold a degree in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). The English spoken in Kilkenny is mainly accent-free and very easy to understand.

Your First Days in Ireland

Regardless of the duration of your stay with us, the following is a sample schedule of events in our English Junior courses in Kilkenny. Here is what happens upon your arrival to Ireland:

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the programme fee?

Our English Summer Camps in Kilkenny are comprehensive packages that include English lessons, course materials, host-family accommodation with full board, daily local transfers, an afternoon activity programme, entrance fees, weekly full-day excursions, airport transfers within the designated times, an online placement test, our student mobile app and an end-of-course certificate.

How many English lessons do students receive?

Students generally receive 20 lessons, totalling 15 hours of English tuition per week. Lessons take place from Monday to Friday and are taught by qualified English-language teachers.
‍

Classes have a maximum of 15 students and focus on practical communication, confidence and using English in real-life situations.

What activities and excursions are included?

The programme includes a varied selection of cultural, sporting and social activities, such as sightseeing, sports and games, Irish dancing, pottery, treasure hunts and social evenings.

A full-day excursion to one of Ireland’s leading attractions is also organised each week.
‍

Optional English PLUS Sport programmes are available for students wishing to focus on multi-sport, golf, tennis, horse riding or badminton.

Are airport transfers included?

Transfers between Dublin Airport and Kilkenny are included on Sundays for arrivals between 10:00 and 17:00 and departures between 12:00 and 19:00. Transfers outside these times, or transfers from another airport, may be arranged for an additional charge.

Students are met by a representative at Dublin Airport and transferred to Kilkenny, approximately 90 minutes away.

What support do students receive during their stay?

Our experienced team provides personal support and 24-hour emergency assistance throughout the programme.

Students also use our mobile app to access their itinerary, accommodation and transfer details, receive important updates and communicate directly with our team.

When and how do I pay?

Once your registration has been confirmed, we’ll send you our payment details.
‍

For our Summer Camps, a €300 deposit is due within 10 days of confirmation, with the remaining balance payable 3 weeks before your arrival in Ireland.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

We can usually accommodate common dietary requirements, including vegetarian, gluten-free and nut-free diets. All dietary requirements and allergies must be provided during registration.
