English PLUS Golf

In our English school in Kilkenny, we also offer an English PLUS programme.

Students learn English in our school in Kilkenny in the morning. In the afternoon, they have extensive coaching in either Tennis, Golf, Badminton or Golf.

Today, I am going to present mackdonald´s English PLUS Golf programme in Kilkenny:

Most of the golf coaching / practise takes place in Newpark Golf Centre. It has multiple cubicles to practise their drive, a putting green and pitching area. Newpark Golf Centre is one of the best golf practice facilities in Ireland, outdoor grass bays, pitching area and excellent putting green.

With our English PLUS Golf students,we go there 2 times per week. This is where our PGA accredited coach Keith is based. Keith will coach your students for 2 hours per week, driving, putting and pitching. 

Once a week, our students go the Pitch & Putt golf course in Kilkenny (Lacken Pitch and Putt) which is ideal to practise the shorter shots and putting in particular.

In addition, we always bring the students to one, or two major 18 hole golf course per week, namely the Pococke Golf Course Kilkenny, the Championship Parkland Course in Kilkenny (here, our students usually take part in Golf tournaments), Gowran Park Golf course and the 18 hole Jack Nicklaus designed Championship Golf Course in Mount Juliet which is one of the most famous and prestigious courses in Ireland.

Green fees to all above mentioned golf courses are included in the English PLUS Golf programme with mackdonald language academy.

As I mentioned, our golf coach Keith is based in the Driving Range in Kilkenny. He is a former golf professional who now coaches one of the Kilkenny Junior teams and private golf amateurs for a living. He is a professional golf instructor.

Last year, Keith coached 2 young golfers from the Saudi Arabian under-18 national golf team, Abdullah and Turki. They were students in our school as well and they underwent a similar programme that you have in mind for your students. Both were very happy with Keith´s coaching tips and they definitely improved their game. Abdullah took part in the Open Golf Tournament at the Kilkenny Golf club and everyone was very pleased with his performance. Both might be coming back to Kilkenny again this year to continue their English studies and golf practise.

Keith´s golfing history (taken from his personal linkedin page): Extensive experience in the Golf Industry since 1981. Fully qualified PGA Professional since 1985 with playing experience in 2 Irish Opens, 1989 and 1993. He also has experience running retail operations at Irish Opens in Royal Dublin and Mount Juliet and also at the 1987 US Open at The Olympic Club.

Keith has spent 10 years as a Golf Consultant with a leading Event Management Company. He is involved with High End Companies running their client golf days in Ireland and across Europe.
